Sid Jongbloed Garden Services |
Enclosed please find specifications and estimates for garden care to maintain (develop) a neat orderly, well groomed appearance: plants kept healthy and vigorous; lawns uniformly green: weeds are kept under control; flowers beds kept lush and showy. Lawns will be mowed and trimmed weekly during the growing season (mid-March through mid-November), fertilized regularly (every 6 weeks) to maintain strong growth and discourage weeds and moss, lime applied in fall and late winter. Beds will be weeded, raked and cultivated as often as necessary to maintain a neat and professional appearance; fertilized as necessary with appropriate fertilizers; plants maintained to promote strong healthy growth and fill beds. Trees and shrubs will be pruned as needed to encourage good form and healthy growth (trees in summer and late winter, spring-flowering shrubs after bloom, summer-flowering shrubs in winter, hedges kept neat and tidy) and fertilized as necessary with appropriate fertilizers (ie rhodobloom for rhododendrons and other acid-loving plants, etc). Grounds will be kept neat during fall leaf-fall on a weekly basis and during winter on a biweekly basis (along with seasonal pruning, etc). My emphasis is on developing a thriving garden that will be a credit to your property and will provide you and your guests with pleasure and delight. To that end I will periodically suggest possible enhancements to develop a year-round garden with variation in color, form, texture, and seasonal interest. I may also identify and suggest solutions to problems in the garden that go beyond routine maintenance. Chemical pesticides will be used as little as possible and always as a last resort. Landscape improvements and seasonal flowers will be billed separately. I am experienced in providing all services in a very cost-effective manner. I have been in business since 1979 and work exclusively with strata and coop properties in the downtown West End. I have two million dollars commercial general liability insurance and am covered by Workers Compensation Board. I am a member of the British Columbia Landscape and Nursery Association and the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association. |
